It's been months without a post as we've been gorging ourselves with warm water waves, html code and then back to seemingly endless cool water shoulder high, offshore days. I'm sure everyone's been getting there fill and will again over easter weekend, so here's a Happy Easter from us........and a bit of chocolate to enjoy!
Next Friday will deliver the fruits of our labour and it's even been made a bank holiday to give you plenty of time to feast your eyes!! ....Enjoy!

We got introduced to this one via Clare Howdle who's writing the vanity project and thought it would be good to share it with you lovely people!

The Parabola Project, a collection of short stories, poems and novel extracts from Cornwall's writing talent - out now!

It has been beautifully put together and is a great read, perfect Christmas gift/stocking filler and every penny goes back into the publishing pot to give the county's writers and imagemakers an opportunity to get their work in print.

'A night for Tom' is an evening to celebrate the life of Tom Clinton and to raise awareness and money for his fund 'Catch a wave' which supports the Jodie O'shea orphanage in Bali Indonesia.

As you'll know if you regularly read our blog, on the 30th November 2009 our good friend Tom tragically lost his life, aged 26, in a bike accident on the island of Bali.
He was a top class surfer, a keen water photographer, spear fisherman, free diver and a best friend to everyone he met.

'A night for Tom' will be held at Trethiggey touring park Quintrell downs Newquay on the 25th of September from 7pm till 12am.

There will be live music, a raffle and giveaways for various prizes including a champagne hamper, a custom Seed surf co. surfboard made for you, catch a wave and seed clothing.
All washed down with local ales, lagers and a few pasties thrown in for good measure!!

Tickets will be £5 and will be available from Wednesday 15th from Dudes salon Newquay, Trethiggey Touring park. Tickets can also be posted or bought on the door.

ALL proceeds from tickets will go straight to Tom's Catch a wave fund.

Everybody is welcome, so please come along and support. If you are planning to attend let us know hear.....

With the winds from the west and northwest it seemed like time to be changing things so we've been re-fitting the shop, adding new designs, new boards for the rack and with customs going out the door some things have been neglected............ like the blog and the web-site.

With a few glitches recently on the main site we decided the winds of change should really take hold, so there'll be a shiney new site soon, to go along with the shop, boards and clothing.

As we missed out on doing our 1st year anniversary party of the shop, we're thinking once the shop fit is done and the new site is live maybe a bit of a celebration is on the cards!

Possibly to welcome in some Autum swells and wave goodbye to the summer!!

Tell us if your keen, as if all goes to plan there could be some prizes/discounts/beers or wine/fruit based drinks for the ladies, to give away at the shindig for the first Ten to get back to us!!

Tom's memorial

The memorial and paddle out for Tom Clinton happened last weekend and was an amazing tribute to a soul who touched so many lives.
We took the journey up to North Wales, to were it all began for Tom to celebrate his life.

The memories of this weekend will live forever and I would like to give a heartfelt thankyou to Tom's mum & dad, brothers and sister, and all his friends for making us feel so welcome.

It was an honour to have known Tommo, to be part of this weekend and to see him returned the place where he was at peace and called home.

I wouldn't be doing what i'm doing today if Tom hadn't touched my life, inspired and convivced me to follow and live my dreams, for this i will be forever gratefull.

Love you always brother and i'll see you again for a wave.

Tommo Clinton 16/02/1983 - 30/11/2009

It's taken me along time to be able to write this and I know I can't put into words how everyone feels, but on the 30th of November we lost a true friend and brother in an accident in Bali.

Tommo always lived his dreams, he lived without fear or boundaries with a constant smile. Weather he was chasing and charging big waves, taking water shots, freediving, spear fishing, skating or rock climbing. He was a traveller, a free spirit and a best friend to everyone he met, weather you knew him for 10 minutes or 10 years.

So this is our little tribute to you lad the brightest light I've ever met or had the privilege to know. I will never forget the memories, the waves and laughs we had or the inspiration you have given me.

You were a true friend, a legend, a hero and you will never be forgotten.

I love you brother xxx

'Catch a Wave' is the name of the fund that Tom's family have set-up in Tom's memory and it's aim is to provide surf equipment for the youngsters of Java, kids who are extremely poor, but like Tom hear the call of the surf.

Lots of them have real talent, skills they develop on wrecked, snapped and discarded old boards. To provide new ones would be a fulfillment of their dreams and this would be something very close to Tom's heart.

There will be a website set-up soon so if you knew Tom or would like to donate to the cause you can.

Last but by no means least all our love goes out to Tom's mum and dad, his brothers, sister,the whole family and anyone who knew or had the privilege of meeting this amazing young man xxx

Been a bit slack with the posting recently so here's a few things that have been going on over the last couple of weeks.........

We've been working with The people's String Foundation putting the finishing touches to their album artwork in time for the launch party on the 26th November at Seiner's in Perranporth! We'll be down their supporting the cause and looking after their merchandise so come down and check them out!!

Lucky t's quad was signed, seeled and delivered;

the Arctail hull is awaiting photography, we've been glueing and pressing up some more skates at last, with a couple of new shapes! No pics yet though,

oh and we thought we'd tidy the blog for winter!!!

Krochet Kids....

Just in time for the winter chill and to warm your Monday arvo we've just taken deliverly of some of the finest handmade hats all the way from America!! These are the first in the country from Krochet Kids International, a Company fighting for change in Africa where they employ, teach and empower the locals to rise above poverty.

Each hat is hand crocheted and signed by it's maker who in turn is payed a wage equivalent to a Ugandan Teacher.

We're stoked to have these guys on board, their hats in the shop and to help them with their quest for a sustainable and socially aware business.

A couple of pics from the factory last week to brighten up your Monday morning!!! The 6'4" quad in mint choc chip colours for Tom a.k.a Lucky T friggin' tasty!!!

Then there's the 5'10" arctail hull which will be getting out on the water asap for some testing.
